Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, is sent to the outside provider that returns the result. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. If you send us a message, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them to answer the inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time of access. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and show which resources are useful. Cookies or related technology may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How the Data Is Used
Limited visitor data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or assemble profiles about individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Iredell County and North Carolina offices, library collections, and third-party search services. Each destination sets its own privacy terms. Information entered on a linked service is controlled by that service, including information submitted through sponsored search results.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Data Security and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only as long as the stated operational purposes require. Because the service has no user accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe someone under 18 submitted such data so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, or delete data can depend on where a person lives. North Carolina has no enacted omnibus consumer privacy law, but the Identity Theft Protection Act, N.C.G.S. Chapter 75, Article 2A, covers breach notice, disposal, Social Security number protection, and security freezes. N.C.G.S. ยง132-1.10 also provides a targeted, no-fee process to redact defined identifiers from filed public records. It is not a general right to erase a name, deed, or lawsuit. Use the Contact page for data held by us. Requests about Town of Mooresville, Iredell County, or North Carolina records must go to the actual custodian.
Policy Revisions
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after publication of a change indicates acceptance of the new version.
